Meeting Agendas & Minutes

As the legislative branch of the City of Seligman government, the Board of Aldermen hold open public meetings where local laws, policies, and basic decisions for the City are discussed and decided. Aldermen are elected at large.

Notices & Agendas for all public meetings, are posted in advance of the meeting outside the City Hall meeting room at 29144 Main Street, Seligman, MO 65745, and are available online in the corrisponding packets.

The Board of Aldermen conduct regular meetings each month on the second Monday at 6pm in the meeting room at City Hall.

Agenda item deadline is 12pm the Wednesday before the meeting, this gives the City Clerk time to prepare the packets by end of day Thursday when the packets are uploaded.

Minutes recorded at each meeting are also available online in the corrisponding packets within 72 hours of the meeting, Please note that meeting minutes remain in draft form until formally approved by the Board of Aldermen. Official meeting minutes not posted on this website may be obtained by contacting the City Clerk at City Hall.

7.  A journal or minutes of open and closed meetings shall be taken and retained by the public governmental body, including, but not limited to, a record of any votes taken at such meeting.  The minutes shall include the date, time, place, members present, members absent and a record of any votes taken.  When a roll call vote is taken, the minutes shall attribute each "yea" and "nay" vote or abstinence if not voting to the name of the individual member of the public governmental body.
